The Freshman Boys Basketball team hosted the well-regarded Hudsonville team for a Tuesday evening matchup at the Quest Center.

The Eagles established an early rhythm, securing an 11-4 lead to set the tone. However, Hudsonville responded with impressive speed and tenacity, narrowing the gap to give GRC a slim 20-19 advantage at halftime.

The two teams continued to compete closely, trading baskets through the third quarter. In the final quarter, the Eagles demonstrated exceptional resolve, pulling away from Hudsonville in decisive fashion to secure a 42-33 victory in the first matchup of the season against the Eagles.

The win was a testament to the team's collective effort, as all members remained highly engaged and delivered maximum effort for the entire 32 minutes. Their persistent defense was key, consistently forcing difficult shots and turnovers.
