The Freshman Boys Basketball team proved on Tuesday that not even a mid-winter break could slow their momentum. Despite a sluggish start, the Eagles quickly found their gear to take down Union High School in a commanding 51-34 road victory.
Utilizing a high-pressure defense to shake off "break rust," they ignited a massive scoring run to claim a 15-2 lead by the first buzzer. The intensity continued through the second period, with the Eagles stifling the Redhawks' offense to take a 28-9 advantage into the locker room.
The second half showcased the program's impressive depth. While the Redhawks continued to compete, the Eagles' balanced attack was too much to overcome. In a display of true team basketball, 10 different Eagles found the scoring column, ensuring fresh legs and a relentless pace until the final whistle.
With the win, the Eagles keep their 7-0 record intact. All eyes now turn to next Tuesday, where the undefeated squad will face off against Forest Hills Northern. Go Eagles!
