The Eagles fell to Forest Hills Eastern 8–7 in extra innings in game one. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the eighth when a defensive miscue allowed the winning run to cross the plate for FHE.

Going into the top of the sixth inning, the Eagles were down 7–0. Their bats finally came alive, scoring five runs on five hits. Greta Holman singled, scoring one run; Karina Mora singled, driving in two runs; and Keira Porte doubled, bringing in two more.

In the top of the seventh, the Eagles needed to rally to stay alive, trailing 7–5. Ellie VandeGriend singled down the left field line, tying the game at seven.

The Eagles were unable to score in the top of the eighth and fell short on defense, dropping game one 8–7.

Rae Cummings battled on the mound, pitching all seven innings. She surrendered seven runs on 11 hits, struck out nine, and walked three.

Despite the late offensive surge, the Eagles still managed to collect nine hits. VandeGriend, Porte, Holman, and Cummings each had two hits, while Mora added one.
