Girls Varsity Swimming & Diving Compete in East Kentwood/Wayland Tri Meet

Tuesday night the girls swimming and diving team headed over to East Kentwood for a tri meet between East Kentwood and Wayland. Kristin Winkle started the meet with in a win in the 200 IM for the Eagles followed by a win from Janie Mills in the 50 free with a 26.32.
A star performance came from Senior Naomi Grix in the 1 meter diving. Naomi scored 200.40 points winning diving for GRC, followed by teammates Lilly McGowan scoring 171.20 points and Ella Vandenburg scoring 170.35.
Starting the second half of the meet Grace Carpenter won the 100 fly with a 1:05.13 followed by Katelyn VanderHeide who took 3rd with a 1:13.68. The girls capped the meet off by winning the 400 free relay (Carpenter-VanderHeide-Mills-
GRC beat Wayland and lost to East Kentwood — we head to Holland on Saturday for the mid season invite.
