The Eagles took on their league rival, South Christian, in the final game of the season. Grand Rapids Christian came in riding a six game win streak and didn't trail at any point tonight. The first quarter saw the Eagles attacking the paint leading to eight free throws in the frame all while holding the visiting Sailors to shots outside of the lane. The Eagle defense broke open the game in the second quarter by causing turnovers and limiting South Christian to only five points as they went into halftime with a 22-12 lead. In the second half, it was more of the same story with the Eagles' continuous trapping defense never allowed the Sailors to find a rhythm.

Grand Rapids Christian was led in scoring by Katelyn LaRue with 14 points, who was a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line. Kailynn Grieve led the defense with seven steals to go along with a great Euro-step lay-up. Six other Eagles scored in tonight's game. The entire team provided great energy on the defensive end and moved the ball quicky against South Christian's zone defense.

The 2019-20 season comes to a close for the JV Eagles with a 15-5 record, improving week to week, and playing their best basketball in their final game tonight.
