The JV Eagles earned a 42–29 victory Monday night against the Forest Hills Northern Huskies. After a slow opening quarter, the Eagles began to pull away in the second quarter, fueled by the energy and toughness of McKenzy Jones and Aluong Reng.
Elyssa Haley caught fire in the second half, finishing with a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Eagles. Jones contributed 7 points and 7 rebounds while also recording 4 steals. Reng added 5 points and 5 rebounds, providing a strong presence inside.
Iris Morgan also scored 5 points and filled the stat sheet with 6 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 assists, and a block. Arok Mawut was another bright spot, finishing with 6 points, 5 steals, and 2 rebounds.
It was a strong team performance on both ends of the floor as the Eagles pulled away and secured the win improving to 4-1.
