The Eagles JV girls soccer team traveled to Holland on Friday evening for a 5:30 game. The team battled hard in a tightly contested match that ended in a narrow loss against Holland Christian.
Despite the scoreline, Eagles players including Delaney Denton and Ella Johnson created several strong opportunities. The Maroons defense was strong but the Eagles were able to slot through a few balls creating chances to put the ball in the net. Defensively, all the players, including Rose Toly and Autumn Rice, had multiple key clearances to keep the game within reach. Holland Christian scored in the second half and the Eagles came very close to tying up the score. Ultimately, the game ended 1-0 in favor of the Maroons.
