SPRING LAKE HIGH SCHOOL: 10
The JV girls played tough in a loss to Spring Lake 6-10 for the first game of the year for this team. Although this was the first high school lacrosse game for many girls, they definitely put a lot of what they learned in practice into action vs. a strong Spring Lake team. Stat Leaders for the night were freshman Emma Visser with 2 goals, 8 draw Wins, and 4 draw controls. Also scoring goals was Anna Menery(2), Madison Wolters(1), and Sara Muir(1)
Anna Menery also received the “Groundhog Award” for scooping up 5 ground balls, while Hannah Sall was named the Defensive Player of the Game because of her constant pressure, redefend, and ability to keep girls away from the goal.
Annika DeKraker had a solid game in goal with a stellar 9 saves!
An all around great effort by the entire team!
The JV Eagles will be back in action Monday night at 5:30pm at Caledonia.
