The freshman Eagles defeated the Forest Hills Northern Huskies 44–23 yesterday. After a slow start, the GRC Eagles found their rhythm in the second half and pulled away with strong team play on both ends of the floor.
Nadia Haley led the way with 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. Nahla Simpson, Sa’Riah Phillips, and Natalie Hutt each chipped in 7 points. Simpson added 6 steals and 3 rebounds, Phillips grabbed 5 rebounds, and Hutt contributed 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Aubrey Mata finished with 8 points and an impressive 6 steals.
It was another complete team effort as the Eagles improved to 5–0 on the season.
