The Eagles went 2-0 tonight in a tri-match with the Covenant Christian Chargers and the Lansing Bobcats. In the first match against Covenant Christian, the Eagles won the first set 25-17, and the second set 25-20, with libero Willem Gronsman leading the team in digs. The second match against the Bobcats was a thrilling 3-setter. The Eagles dropped the first 22-25, but came back to win the second 25-23. Middle Charlie Walters stepped up with some game-changing kills for the win. Victory in the third set (15-7) secured a winning night for Grand Rapids Christian.
