Grand Rapids Christian pushed their winning streak to nine matches, compiling wins against South Christian, Spring Lake, and Holland Christian in a conference quad event on Tuesday evening. In the first game of the night, the Eagles defeated familiar rival South Christian 25-17, 25-14. GRC again showed great balance on offense, with four players contributing 4+ kills, led by Alex Rakotomalala (5 kills, 0.444 hitting efficiency) and Gideon Cebulski (4 kills, 0.667 hit eff.). In game two, the Eagles defeated Spring Lake 25-13, 25-13, with Rakotomalala (5 kills) and Cebulski (4 kills) again leading the offense. Grand Rapids Christian was especially strong from the service line against the Lakers, with Megi Shinetulga recording 6 service aces, and Will Vanden Berg adding 3 more. In the final game of the night, Grand Rapids Christian took on Holland Christian. Again, the Eagles prevailed in straight sets; 25-20, 25-17. Constantine Kim contributed a team high 7 kills (0.278 hit eff.) and added 2 service aces, and A.J. Warren had 5 kills out of the middle (0.364 hit eff.). Grand Rapids Christian remains undefeated in Conference play, at 7-0 (21-4 overall).
