Grand Rapids Christian opened its postseason campaign with a win on Thursday afternoon against host Northpointe Christian. The Mustangs displayed a vastly improved offensive attack, but the Eagles prevailed in the Regional Quarterfinal matchup in straight sets - 25-14, 25-21, 25-16. Outside hitter Alex Nelson led Grand Rapids Christian with 15 kills and 5 service aces, while Jack Sholten and A.J. Warren proved an unstoppable duo at Middle Hitter - combining for 16 kills and just 4 attack errors on 29 attempts. Will VandenBerg led the Eagles defense with 13 digs. Next up for Grand Rapids Christian is the Regional Semi-Final on Tuesday night against Kenowa Hills HS - winners of their opening round match against Spring Lake HS. Game time is 7:00PM at Allendale High School.
