Boys Track & Field Set a School Record and Countless PR's as They Place 3rd in the OK White Conference Meet

The boys' 4x800m relay got the evening started with a bang, running a school record of 7:53.05. The team of Sean Ryan, Ben Romero, Ashton Fink, and Micah Small took over 4 seconds off the school record from 2012 and auto-qualified for the state meet. Their time currently leads Division 2.
The meet continued with remarkable performances both on the track and in the field. Hard work and determination over the past two months led to PR's for nearly half of the performances! The following boys scored points for the team by placing in the top 8 in their event. This led to a 3rd-place team finish - several spots higher than predicted!
- 200.: Kayden Buyck (7th)
- 400m: Ben Williams (6th) & Nate Evenhouse (7th)
- 800m: Ben Romero (1st), Micah Small (2nd), & Seth Sytsma (5th)
- 1600m: James Scholten-Holcomb (2nd), Sean Ryan (4th), & Elias DeJong (6th)
- 3200m: Ashton Fink (6th)
- 4x100m Relay: Kayden Buyck, Charlie King, Isaiah Owens, & Isaac James (3rd)
- 4x200m Relay: Emmett Hohnstein, Isaiah Owens, Jason McGhee, & Brieon Walton (6th)
- 4x400m Relay: Ben Williams, Nate Evenhouse, Seth Sytsma, & Micah Small (1st)
- 4x800m Relay: Sean Ryan, Ben Romero, Ashton Fink, & Micah Small (1st & School Record!)
- Shot Put: Easton Howe (5th) and Dane Fitzgibbon (6th)
- Discus: Dane Fitzgibbon (5th) and Easton Howe (7th)
- High Jump: Brieon Walton (4th), Elden Grover (6th), & AJ Williams (8th)
- Pole Vault: Isaac Witte (3rd)
- Long Jump: Justin Davis (4th), Isaac James (5th), & Brieon Walton (7th)
Due to winning a conference event, the following boys were named All-Conference. Congrats!!
