The Girls Varsity Bowling Team dominated this weekend, taking first place in two tournaments and firmly establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the OK White Conference.
Friday – OK White Pre-Conference Tournament
Held at Park Center Lanes, the tournament featured three individual games followed by four Baker games. The Eagles came ready and put on a standout performance across the board.
All-Conference Individual Highlights
Greta Holman delivered an exceptional day, rolling games of 178, 127, and 182 for a 487 series, earning 1st placeon the All-Conference Team.
Karina Mora followed closely with games of 114, 163, and 160 for a 437 series, securing 2nd place on the All-Conference Team.
Delaney VanderPloeg posted a strong 204 high game on her way to a 394 series, finishing 6th in All-Conference honors.
Kendall VanderPloeg rounded out the scoring with a 369 series, placing 10th on the All-Conference Team.
With consistent scoring, solid Baker play, and strong teamwork, the Eagles captured 1st place in the tournament.
Saturday – East Kentwood Invitational
The Girls returned to Park Center Lanes on Saturday to compete in the East Kentwood Invitational, which included two individual games and six Baker games. Facing tough competition, the Eagles held steady, maintaining 3rd placethrough qualifying and earning a spot in the semi-finals.
In the semis, the Eagles defeated Caledonia, advancing to the finals against Grand Haven, where they battled down to the wire and edged out the win to claim another 1st place finish.
All-Tournament Highlight
Kendall VanderPloeg earned All-Tournament honors with games of 181 and 157 for a 338 series, contributing significantly to the team’s advancement and final victory.
A Championship Weekend
With back-to-back tournament wins, multiple All-Conference and All-Tournament selections, and outstanding individual and team performances, the Girls Varsity Bowling Team showcased their depth, competitiveness, and championship mindset.
