Another race down, and it looks like the we are starting to hit our grove! Grand Rapids Christian took the hill at Cannonsburg last night, January 14, 2020, for their first “full” race of the season. The Eagles had another solid race, the Varsity Men finished 4th in both Slalom and Giant Slalom.
Highlights of last night’s race include:
- John Vellenga finished 2nd in Giant Slalom and 9th in Slalom
- Ben Kuiper finished 15th in Slalom
Both teams battled through some tough courses and we had several athletes that were forced to hike in order to get a finish. Our Varsity Freshman and Sophomore athletes had to step up and “go for it” to improve our team scores – and they did! Great job guys!
