Eagles Lose: -
Congratulations to the GRCHS Girls Varsity Golf Team on their 10th place finish at the state tournament this past Friday and Saturday at GVSU's The Meadows golf course.  The team played well together on 2 beautiful days on the course and capped off a very successful season by shooting a 389 team score on Friday and improving 9 strokes on Saturday to a 380 score to move up 2 spots in the rankings and finish in the top 10 in the state of Michigan!  The team featured Ryann Breslin (junior), Sara Muir (sophomore), Niya Couch (sophomore), Rory Pruis (senior) and Marielle Raterink (senior) in the two day event and Ryann Breslin played two great rounds of 81 and 82 to take 5th place overall and medal in the state Division 3 tournament!  Congrats Ryann, and thank you to the whole team for representing our God and our school so well all year!

Congratulations to the GRCHS girls varsity golf team for advancing to the state tournament!  The Eagles took 2nd place at our 18 hole regional tournament on Wednesday, shooting a team score of 390 on a very difficult Railside Golf Club course.  Congratulations also to Ryann Breslin who won the regional as an individual shooting a score of 80.  The Eagles move on to play in the state championship, 36 hole tournament at The Meadows Golf Course on GVSU's campus next week Friday and Saturday.  Great job team!

On Friday the girls varsity golf team took 3rd place in their conference tournament by shooting a season best team score of 366 for 18 holes.  Ryann Breslin shot an 82 which tied for 2nd  as an individual for the tournament.  Rory Pruis was 9th overall with a 92, Niya Couch had a 94 and Sara Muir rounded out the team scoring with a 98. This also secured a third place finish in the conference overall for the season, which was solid improvement over the whole season.   Congratulations also to Ryann Breslin who was unanimously selected by the coaches and earned All-Conference honors.  She had the lowest scoring average in our whole conference as she averaged 40.2 strokes per nine holes.  Great job, Ryann!

The GRCHS girls varsity golf team travelled to Ludington last Friday to play in a 10 team tournament at Lincoln Hills GC right on Lake Michigan.  The team ended up with a very solid 3rd place finish.  Ryann Breslin finished 2nd overall as an individual by shooting an 85, Samantha Groenwold took 6th overall with a 91 and Sara Muir was 7th with a 92.  The team looks to keep improving as they ready for the conference tournament this week.

The GRCHS varsity girls golf team continued their improvement Wednesday afternoon by shooting a team score of 176 and placing 2nd at the OK Gold jamboree at Railside Golf Club.  Ryann Breslin placed 1st overall as an individual by shooting a fantastic even par 37, Sara Muir shot a 44, Marielle Raterink a 45, and Niya Couch a 50.  Rory Pruis and Annika Smits rounded out the team scoring with a pair of 52's.

The GRCHS girls varsity golf team continued to improve as they took 3rd place at the OK Gold jamboree on Wednesday afternoon at the beautiful and challenging Cascade Country Club.  The team was led by Ryann Breslin who shot a 41, which was the lowest individual score at the tournament.  Rory Pruis shot a 49 and Niya Couch and Sara Muir each fired a 50 to round out the team scoring.  Marielle Raterink shot a 51 and Annika Smits a 55.

On Monday night the GRCHS Girls Golf team had another great showing and improved again as a team.  The team posted a 171 at our OK Gold jamboree which was good enough for 3rd place again for the second all-conference match in a row.  Ryann Breslin took 3rd overall individually, shooting a fantastic 38, Niya Couch shot a 43, Sara Muir a 44 and Rory Pruis had a 46 to round out the team scoring.  Annika Smits also posted a 47 and Marielle Raterink a 51.  The team looks to improve even further at our home course of Cascade Country Club on Wednesday.

The Girls Varsity Golf team played a solid team round on Wednesday at Orchard HIlls Golf Course in Wayland.  The team shot a 182, only one stroke out of 2nd place.  Ryann Breslin led the team shooting a 4 over par 40, which was tied for the best individual score in the tournament.  Niya Couch fired a 46, and Marielle Raterink and Annika Smits both fired a 48 to round out the team score.  Rory Pruis shot a 49 and Sara Muir a 50 to contribute to our most improved round as a team this year with everyone at 50 or better.  Very solid improvement for our team and there's room to get even better!

The GRCHS Girls Golf Team took 4th place at the OK Gold Jamboree Monday night.  Ryann Breslin was tied for the lowest score of the tournament shooting a solid 4 over par 40 at Yankee Springs Golf Course.  Sara Muir shot a 50, Marielle Raterink a 52 and Rory Pruis rounded out the scoring with a 58.

Eagles Lose: 199.00 - 214.00
The GRCHS Girls Varsity Golf team defeated Holland Christian last Friday night, 199-214.  Ryann Breslin was the medalist for the match shooting a 4 over par 40.  Niya Couch shot a 46, Clara Tolsma shot a 55 and Samantha Groenwald rounded out the team scoring with a 58.

At the 2nd OK Gold jamboree of the season, the GRCHS girls golf team took 4th place.  Playing at a tough Egypt Valley golf course Ryann Breslin led the team with a 43, Sara Muir shot a 50, Niya Couch a 53 and Rory Pruis a 55.  The Eagles head next to face Holland Christian on Friday at Winding Creek Golf Course in Holland.

The Girls Varsity Golf team took 4th place in the first OK Golf Jamboree event of the season.  Ryann Breslin was tied for first overall with a 41 at a tough and windy Kent Country Club course, Marielle Raterink and Sara Muir both shot solid rounds of 48 and Niya Couch rounded out the team scoring with a 50.   Good start to the conference season but we know we can improve a lot as a team!

The Girls Varsity Golf team defeated Unity Christian at Pigeon Creek Golf Club last night, 192-194.  Ryann Breslin had the low round for the team shooting a fantastic even par round of 36!

The GR Christian Eagles finished in 5th place out of 12 teams at the Jenison Invitational held at The Meadows shooting a team score of 369.  Ryann Breslin shot the low round for the team with a fantastic two over par 75.  That included an eagle on hole #1.
