REGIONAL FINAL The Eagles won the Regional title on Saturday at Hope College. Both teams were strong on the mound Saturday, but the Eagles defeated Vicksburg 2-1. Kyle Remington allowed just four hits to Vicksburg. Remington was the winning pitcher. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out nine and walking zero. Jackson Isaacs led the Eagle offense with 2 hits on the day.

MHSAA State QUARTERFINAL The Eagles did away with Hamilton 14-2 on Saturday to win the Quarterfinal game and advance to MSU for the Semifinals on Thursday at 9am. In the bottom of the first inning, the Eagles tied things up at one when a sacrifice bunt by Josh Winkle scored one run. The Eagles pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning.  In the second Kyle Remington doubled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Nathan Hedlund singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. The Eagles  tallied seven runs in the third inning.  Canon Paul, Alec Koval, Remington, and Ty Uchman each had RBIs in the big inning. Cam Seth got the win for the Eagles. Seth went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out three and walking zero. The Eagles racked up 14 hits in the game.  Remington, Seth, Jackson Isaacs, Winkle, and Hedlund each racked up multiple hits. Remington went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Eagles in hits.

Varsity Baseball Game 1 Against Forest Hills Northern Monday's game against Forest Hills Northern was a heartbreaker for the Eagles, as they lost the lead late in a 2-1 defeat.  The game was tied at one with Forest Hills Northern batting in the top of the sixth when #11foley drew a walk, scoring one run.   The pitching was strong on both sides. Forest Hills Northern pitchers struck out eight, while the Eagles sat down 12.   Kyle Remington toed the rubber for the Eagles. The righthander allowed two hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one.   Remington, Jackson Isaacs, Christian Burgess, and Ty Uchman each collected one hit to lead Christian Eagles Varsity.

Varsity Baseball Game 2 Against Forest Hills Northern The Eagles defeated Forest Hills Northern 7-2 on Monday.   Cam Seth earned the victory on the mound for the Eagles. Seth lasted five and a third innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out five and walking one.  Canon Paul threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.   The Eagles hit one home run on the day. Jackson Isaacs went yard in the fifth inning.   The Eagles tallied ten hits in the game.  Josh Winkle and Isaacs all managed multiple hits for the Eagles.  Winkle led the Eagles with three hits in four at bats.  

Varsity Baseball Game 1 Against Jenison Christian Eagles Varsity defeated Jenison 9-5 thanks to a strong start.  Christian Eagles Varsity scored on a triple by Jackson Isaacs in the first inning, a triple by Kyle Remington in the second inning, and a single by Ty Uchman in the second inning.   After Jenison scored one run in the top of the sixth, Christian Eagles Varsity answered with one of their own.  Jenison scored when Rathsack grounded out, scoring one run.   Christian Eagles Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning.  In the second Remington tripled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs and Uchman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.   Christian Eagles Varsity scored three runs in the third inning.  The offensive firepower by Christian Eagles Varsity was led by Cam Seth, Christian Burgess, and Alex Koval, all knocking in runs in the inning.   Josh Winkle earned the win for Christian Eagles Varsity. The lefthander lasted three innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out one and walking one.  Nathan Hedlund and Remington entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.  Remington recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Christian Eagles Varsity.   Betts toed the rubber for Jenison. The pitcher allowed seven hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one.  #9 and #13 entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.   Christian Eagles Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game.  Uchman, Burgess, and Isaacs each managed multiple hits for Christian Eagles Varsity.  Uchman went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Christian Eagles Varsity in hits.

Varsity Baseball Game 2 Against Jenison Christian Eagles Varsity defeated Jenison 10-2 on Saturday thanks to six runs in the sixth inning.  Nathan Hedlund, Christian Burgess, Cam Seth, and Levi Herrema each drove in runs during the inning.   Jenison opened up scoring in the first inning, when Ty Uchman induced Sherff to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.   Christian Eagles Varsity notched six runs in the sixth inning.  Christian Eagles Varsity's big inning was driven by a triple by Herrema, a single by Hedlund,  by Burgess, and a double by Seth.   Burgess earned the win for Christian Eagles Varsity. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out four.  Seth threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.   Bosch led things off on the hill for Jenison. The bulldog went one and one-third innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out one.  #1, #12, and #21 each contributed in relief for Jenison.    Uchman started the game for Christian Eagles Varsity. The lefty surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out two   Christian Eagles Varsity tallied 13 hits.  Kyle Remington, Seth, Isaac Hubka, and Herrema all collected multiple hits for Christian Eagles Varsity.  Remington went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Christian Eagles Varsity in hits.

Varsity Baseball Game 1 Against Greenville  Eagles 22, Greenville 1: The Eagles took game one of the double header against Greenville with a three-inning 22 -1 victory.  Kyle Remington picked up the win working 2 innings and striking out 5. Offensively the Eagles pounded out 20 hits. Varsity Baseball Game 2 Against Greenville Eagles 18, Greenville 0: The Eagles took game 2 of the doubleheader against Greenville with a three inning 18-0 victory. Cam Seth picked up the win working 2 hitless innings and striking out 2. Varsity Baseball Against Haslett The Eagles came out swinging the bat on Saturday defeating Haslett 16-1 in three innings. Ethan DeBlecourt picked up the win on the mound working 3 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 4. Varsity Baseball Against Dewitt The Eagles defeated Dewitt 12 - 5 in Game 2. Christian Burgess picked up the win on the mound working five strong innings allowing 0 earned runs. Varsity Baseball Against Coldwater The Eagles finished off a great day defeating host Coldwater 12-1 in 5 innings to win the tournament. GRC used 4 pitchers with Josh Winkle picking up the win working 2 innings and striking out 2 while not allowing a hit. Varsity Baseball Against Byron The Eagles defeated Byron Center 4 to 3 to win the series against the first-place team in the OK White. Cam Seth pitched a complete game going 7 innings and striking out 8.   The Eagle offense was spread through the entire lineup. Landon Batka came up with a big 2 RBI single. Jackson Isaacs added a 2B.

Game 1 — Eagles 12, Byron Center 8:The Eagles take game one over Byron Center 12-8. Kyle Remington got the win on the mound working 5 1/3 innings and striking out nine. Jackson Isaacs led the way offensively with a 3-3 day while scoring 3 runs and also driving in 3 with a triple and a home run. Nathan Hedlund, Cam Seth and Josh Winkle each collected two hits. Ty Uchman added a double.

Game 2 — Eagles 5, Byron Center 11: The Eagles drop game two to Byron Center 5-11 in a shortened game due to darkness. Ty Uchman took the loss on the mound. Landon Rossback and Ethan DeBlecourt came on to pitch in relief. The Eagles were led offensively by Nate Hedlund and Canon Paul who each had multi-hit games. Hedlund had 2 Homeruns and drove in 5 runs.

Varsity Baseball falls to Forest Hills Central 3 The Eagles lost a hard-fought game with FHC 3-5. Cam Seth pitched 5 strong innings allowing 3 hits 0 earned runs and striking out 5. The offense was led by Canon Paul with a 2-hit game.

Varsity Baseball Double Header Game 1 Against FHC Eagles 2, FHC 6: Kyle Remington pitched 6 strong innings allowing 2 earned runs. Remington also led the offense going 2-3 with an RBI. 

Varsity Baseball Double Header Game 2 Against FHC Eagles 4, FHC: 6 The Eagles lost Game 2 of the doubleheader 4-6 as it was called after 6 innings due to darkness. Canon Paul led the Eagle offense going 2-3 with 2 doubles. Kyle Remington added a double in the nightcap.

The Eagles completed the sweep over Northview with a 9 to 4 victory Wednesday. Josh Winkle picked up the win for Grand Rapids Christian allowing three hits and one run while striking out 4. Defensively the Eagles turned 3 double plays on the day . The Eagles came out swinging Kyle Remington, Ty Uchman, Cannon Paul, and Nathan Hedlund each had multi-hit games. Remington led the Eagles with three hits including two doubles. The win improves the Eagles to 6-3 and 5-3 in the OK White.

Varsity Baseball Double Header Game 1 Against Northview GRC 4  Northview 1.  Another miserable cold day made for tough playing conditions. Grand Rapids Christian battled through the elements to beat Northview 4-1 in game one of the Doubleheader.Kyle Remington threw a complete game gem! Kyle only allowed 2 infield hits while striking out 8 and walking no one. The Eagle offense played some small ball plating 3 Runs in the 4th inning on 3 consecutive safety squeezes to take control of the game. The win improves the Eagles to 4-3 and 3-3 in the OK White.

Varsity Baseball Double Header Game 2 Against Northview GRC 6  Northview 1 The Eagles completed the sweep against Northview with a 6-1 victory. Ty Uchman picked up the win on the mound working 5 strong innings allowing 3 hits and 1 unearned run. Christian Burgess came in to work the final 2 innings shutting the door allowing no hits and striking out 3. Ty Uchman, Nathan Hedlund, and Jackson Isaacs all had multi-hit games. Isaacs and Josh Winkle drove in 2 Runs. The win improves the Eagles to 5-3 and 4-3 in the conference.

Varsity Baseball Double Header Against Lowell Game 1: Canon Paul led the offense with 2 hits. GRC 3; Lowell 5 Game 2: Grand Rapids Christian only managed three hits in the nightcap. The game was called after five innings due to darkness. GRC 3; Lowell 8

Offensively Kyle Remington and Nathan Hedlund had multi-hit games for the Eagles. Ty Uchman and Hedlund each had multi-RBI games. Canon Paul had a 2B in the game. The win improves the Eagles to 2-0 and 1-0 in the OK White.
