Boys Junior Varsity Lacrosse vs. Reeths-Puffer High School

Eagles Lose: 3 - 15
Junior Varsity Boys Lacrosse Against Reeths-Puffer The Eagles came out strong with a solid first quarter Tuesday afternoon which ended with the Eagles down 3-1. In the second quarter the Eagles couldn’t stay out of the penalty box and saw Reeths-Puffer extend their lead to 9-1. The third was a bounce back quarter for the Eagles where they stepped up their defense and also put one past the Rockets goaltender but in the end it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit. Eagles’ goals were scored by Drew Hausig with 2 and BJ Apol adding the 3rd. Assists were from Isaac Zull and BJ Apol. BJ Apol also had a solid night of faceoffs winning 6 of his 9 draws.

Eagles Lose: 3 - 15

Eagles Lose: 2 - 12
Junior Varsity Boys Lacrosse Against Lowell After falling down 1-9 in the first half the Eagles tightened up their defense and held the Red Arrows to a score of 1-3 in the second half. John VanAntwerp had a phenomenal night in net saving 20 out of 32 shots on net along with being a key part of starting the Eagles fast break offense.  BJ Apol won over 60% of his faceoff battles along with adding a goal and assist to the score sheet. Leland Lauterbach also put one past the Lowell keeper while Isaac Zull added an assist.

Eagles Lose: 2 - 15
The Eagles came out of the gates slowly Monday night against the Lakers leading to them falling behind 14-0 in the first half. Undeterred, the Eagles clamped down in the second half leading to them holding Spring Lake to only 1 goal over the final 2 quarters while scoring 2 goals themselves. Goals for the Eagles were scored by Finn Rohs and Isaac Zull. Goalie John VanAntwerp got in on the offensive action by taking the ball down field himself before assisting Finn Rohs for the opening goal. The JV Eagles next play Thursday May 5th at 5:30pm in Lowell

Eagles Lose: 5 - 14
Junior Varsity Boys Lacrosse Against Zeeland The Eagles came out slow in the first half which saw them down 1-7 at half but fought hard in the second half coming out strong with a 3-goal third quarter. In the fourth quarter the Eagles defense led by Alex Wortmann at close D and John VanAntwerp in net, locked down the opposition allowing only 1 goal. The Eagle goals were scored by BJ Apol, Will Owens and Finn Rohs. Will Owens also had a phenomenal showing at the face of dot winning the clamp on almost 70% of his draws.
