The Eagles got out the gate early in Game 1 of the Double-header against the Pioneers on a run by Ethan Ogle. Charlie Kileen pitched 4 strong innings for the Eagles, allowing 4 hits. The Eagles bats picked up late and the Eagles scored 3 in the Top of the 5th before Parker Seth came in to shut the door on the Pioneers. Everyone was hitting for the Eagles today. 

The Eagles handed it to the Pioneers in game 2. Parker Seth pitched for the Eagles. The offense was everywhere to be found in Game 2. Timmy Smith, Seth, and Groen had a couple hits well as a Will VanWingerden who came up with a 2-out 2-rbi single after an intentional walk to Zeke Heerema. Zeke said "They'd never seen a 4 hitter like that so they were a little worried." Will said thanks for the RBI's. Not to mention only the offense but Charlie (Chuck as I call him) Kileen made a great play on a ball between 1st and 2nd and threw a kid out from his knees. Parker Seth struck the final batter of the game out on a signature knuckle-ball. He claims it's good, but who knows; maybe we have a baby Tim Wakefield on our hands. The Eagles played the ball like we knew they could all season and it was fun to be apart of. In Yondo, we trust. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. 

You ever seen a 1-0 tie? Probably not, well that's what we're calling it. Game 2, Charlie Kileen pitched for the Eagles. Down 1-0 in the 4th, an umpire started seeing things and got fuzzy. We had just gotten the Huskies out 1-2-3 in the Top of the 4th and were coming up to bat down 1-0. That's when we needed a trainer (S/O Jenna Cadle) and after that the field ump called the game on us  So I couldn't really tell ya if that's a tie but shoot that's what I'm taking it as, maybe even a W to be honest. 

Isaiah Bos pitched 5 strong innings for the Eagles. The Eagles fell behind early, 3-0 but battled back. Charlie Kileen made some nice defensive plays at 3B and Jackson Groen lead the way on offense with a pair of hits. Eagles offense took a bit to get going and in a 5 inning game, that's tough. 

The Eagles got out to a 4-0 lead in the 2nd inning but got complacent and couldn't manage to get across anymore runs. Parker Seth pitched for the Eagles, being relieved by Jackson Groen and then Isaiah Bos. Isaiah Bos had a great defensive game at 3B. 

The Eagles struggled to put the ball in play and couldn't manage to get Charlie Kileen any run support. Charlie went 5 strong Innings with some good defense behind him in Game 1. Unfortunately, the offense was asleep. 

It was a wild. Noah Funk pitched 3 strong innings for the Eagles. Ethan Ogle came in for relief for the final 2 innings. The Eagles found themselves down 1-0 going into the 4th inning. Eagles got a guy on when Wick (Alek Wickstrom) came up to bat. He smashed a ball to left that legit looked like it had a chance to go out but was in the gap instead of down the line. Wick ended up on 2nd with a double scoring Noah Funk on the play. Wick got to 3rd on a groundout by Groen. Guy on 3rd, 1 out bottom and Will VW comes up to bat. We put on a squeeze and low and be hold, had a perfect bunt down the first base line; Wickstrom scored and VanWingerden got the RBI. Top 5 now, the lead off hitter for FHC hit a rope into the gap. I'm thinking "really, not this again." Except the Eagles defense had different plans, Willy Ma-I mean VanWingerden went back to pick it up and threw a relay to Parker Seth who caught, turned and fired the ball to third and Isaiah Bos caught it and put the tag down on a bang-bang play. Out! Trying to stretch it into a triple. Ethan Ogle was pumping the zone and the Rangers went down in order after that. Eagles finished it out with a 2-1 win. 

What a day at the ballpark. Pitchers duel in Freshman baseball. Those words don't usually go together ya know, but our guys did said they were "warm weather ballplayers". Charlie Kileen pitched for the Eagles game 1 against the Rangers of FHC. Charlie threw a gem. He pitched 5 Innings, allowing 1 run and striking out 7 including striking out the side in the 2nd inning. Noah Funk caught for the Eagles and Jackson Groen made a couple of great plays over at 1st to hold the game close. Zeke Heerema made his coaching debut with the Eagles at 1st base, legend.The Eagles scratched across a run to tie it up late and that's how it ended 1-1. 

Jackson Groen pitched 4 1/3 for the Eagles and was great. The Eagles offense got on the board early on a run by Parker Seth. Chase Harmelink played well at 2nd base for the Eagles, with a signature flip to first for an out. After that, the Eagles found some rhythm on offense in the 3rd inning and put a six spot up in the score board to make it 7-1. However FHN battled back and found themselves down 7-4 in the bottom of the last inning. A couple hits and a few bad breaks and it was 7-6 with 2 outs and two runners on base. A single to left and that was the end of Game 2. Eagles back at it on Thursday at Gainey. 

Zeke Heerema pitched for the Eagles and was great on the mound. The Eagles couldn't get the offense going in time to back it up. Alek Wickstrom scored the lone run for the Eagles. 

Jackson Groen pitched 3 2/3 for the Eagles. Allowing 0 walks. Ethan Ogle supplied some offense leading the Eagles with two hits and a couple of runs. Zeke Heerema came in to shut the door on the Pioneers.. The Eagles had a wild last inning getting an out at home. They struck out the lead off guy. Later on, on a ball that squirted away from Ogle at catcher, he hustled back and flipped it to Heerema to tag the runner out at Home. The next batter grounded out to Kileen at 2nd base and the Eagles held on 8-6. Eagles play Thursday at home against the Red Arrows.  

The Eagles seemed to play without a sense of urgency and it showed. A couple of tough plays that didn't go our way and that put the nail in coffin. 

The Eagles jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the 1st inning. After that, Northern got a lot of bounces and ended up coming back to take a 8-7 lead. Once again the Eagles battled hard in the Top of the 5th but couldn't prevail. Isaiah Bos and Jackson Groen pitched for the Eagles while Ethan Ogle did the catching. Tough one for the Eagles but they didn't give up and have been playing good baseball as of late.  

The Eagles lost to Northern but the Eagles battled back and came up short. Eagles stranded guys on 2nd and 3rd to end the game. Charlie Kileen pitched for the great for the Eagles. Allowing 0 walks. Joey Lukezich made a couple nice catches in Right Field to help keep the game close but the Eagles couldn't get the lead. Zeke Heerema made his HS catching debut and looked great until his catchers mitt broke. Eagles back at it Next Tuesday. 

It was a wild one in game two of the double header. The Eagles were down 12-8 heading into the last inning and scored 3; However came up short with a 12-11 loss. 

Zeke Heerema pitched 5 strong innings for the Eagles giving up 1 run. The Eagles were down 1-0 going into the last inning(Top 5) against the Rangers of FHC. The Eagles got the first two batters on base when Timmy Buckets (Tim Smith) came up to bat. Tim ripped a ball over the Right  Fielders head and slid in safely at third for a triple, scoring two on the play. The Eagles tacked on another after that. Zeke Heerema came back out in the bottom of the 5th to hold on to a 3-1 victory. 

Isaiah Bos pitched 4 innings and got the win. Defense played really well and the bats woke up today.  Offense was led by everyone. All around team effort and everyone contributed. 

Will VanWingerden had a nice double.  

Charlie Kileen pitched 5 great innings.

Game 2. Parker Seth and Isaiah Bos pitched.  Offense was started off by Joey Lukezich followed by Noah Funk. 

Charlie Kileen pitched game 1 and had a base hit.  Ethan Ogle had a double.  

Eagles lost the 2nd game 11-2 and were scrambled to find any pitchers. Offense was led by Parker Seth and Alek Wickstrom.    Eagles back at it for a double header on Thursday at home vs Forest Hills Northern.

Eagles lost the 1st game 4-1 of this double heaer. Charlie Kileen pitched a great game but the other pitcher was dealing.
