Eagles Lose: 0 - 3
This scrimmage was played with 10 players a side due to our short roster. The Eagles fell short in the end as we didn't have any substitutes and fatigue set in as well. Looking forward to our next game.

This was a tough loss as morale dropped significantly after losing our captain to a season threatening injury. Despite this, and a few other players picking up some other injuries, the players gave it their all and would fall short to their very stacked opponents.  We are looking forward to regroup and prepare for our next game next Tuesday.

Eagles Win: 4 - 2
This was truly an exciting game all around. The weather was perfect, the players were pumped, and communication - on and off the field - was at an all-time high. It was quite shaky in the first few minutes as the players too some time to get used to the field and their opponents, but once the goals started pouring in, the whole atmosphere changed.  The Eagles would go on to win in the end with goals by Max Michael, Ben DeYoung, and Isaac Williams. Each player contributed to the team win, and can't wait to carry this momentum into our next games.

Eagles Win: 9 - 4
Our first home game of the season was one that showed a lot of promise for the team. The players had so much fun playing together as this was one where we had a few additional players as substitutes. The game started off rather evenly matched and stayed that way through the opening moments. It wasn't too long until the scoreboard started getting filled up with multiple goals from both Ben DeYoung and Boris Lilac. They would both go on to end the game with at least 3 goals each. Other player who also contributed to the massive win - with or without scoring - were Max Michael, Isaac Williams, Abel DenDulk, Peter Borst, Soren White, Jake Koetje, Jose Pedraza, Tyler Stinton, Sam VanderSloot, Tyler DeBoer, and Miles Bourland. The was great communication throughout the game, as well as a lot of lessons we plan taking into consideration in our future games.

Eagles Lose: 2 - 3
A weekend of tough games for the freshman boys as they battled it out against JV teams from St. Joseph and Kalamazoo Central. Our first game against St. Joseph started out rather evenly matched in spite of the difference in levels. In the end, Eagles' Ben DeYoung and Max Michael put us on the scoreboard by scoring their respective goals. The game would come to an end with a tough loss for the Eagles.  About an hour later, the players had to suit up and start their second game of the day against Kalamazoo Central's JV team. This was a very tough game and in the end, K. Central came up with a 4-0 victory. There were a lot of lessons to be learned from these games and we have no doubt they will help us in our subsequent games.

Eagles Lose: 2 - 5
Tough season opener loss for the very resilient freshman squad who battled together to the end, despite having no substitutes and having our alternate goalie on the field as a defender. Our extremely talented captain -Max Michael- demonstrated great leadership in both communication and goals, as he scored both of our goals and came close a few other times. It was tied 2-2 at half and part of the second half until the apparent fatigue set in. The players played really well and showed a lot of heart and grit on the field. Excited for continuous growth and looking forward to these next couple of games.
