This week we celebrated our 3 senior wrestlers!

Isaiah Luk

Parents: Simon Luk and Rebecca Makuei
Isaiah is a four-year wrestler and plans on attending Calvin University to study Civil and Environmental Engineering. Isaiah’s favorite wrestling memory is the St Ignace trip every year, buying gummy candies and buffalo wing pretzels at the gas station and swimming in Lake Huron. His advice to younger wrestlers is to “keep working hard in practice because it will get you farther than you think.”

Adam Persenaire

Parents: Philip and Kristina Persenaire
Adam is a four-year wrestler and plans on becoming a body builder and personal trainer after high school.  Adam’s favorite wrestling memory is attending the St Ignace tournament, going swimming in the lake and messing around with teammates in the hotel rooms.  Adam’s advice to younger teammates is to “work hard in the off season in order to achieve success during the season.”

Luke Selfe

Parents: Rob and Lesley Selfe
Luke is a three-year wrestler and plans on attending Wheaton College next year where he will play football.  His favorite wrestling memory is the St Ignace tournament this year when the team won the tournament and kids bought an insane amount of food at the gas station.  Luke’s words of advice for younger teammates is to “stick with it and be consistent and you will be successful.”
