2025-2026 Athletics Start Dates
The MHSAA has done a great job of continuing to work to help find balance in athletics by creating breaks in the seasons for athletes and coaches to be with their families. We love working hard to develop our gifts but appropriate scope is important also.Summer Dead Week: June 29-July 5 — this is the actual dead week where there is zero contact between players and coaches and no use of district facilities.Pre-Season Down Time: the week prior to each season there is "down time" where there are no open gyms or captains practices. Only 4-player workouts and conditioning are permitted. You can find our official athletics start dates for 2025-2026 here!

Delaney Denton was in the perfect spot to tuck the ball in the back of the net off a beautiful ball by Clem that glanced off the crossbar. With just a few minutes left in the first half the refs postponed the game due to thunder and lightning. The weather persisted so the game was eventually called off.

Girls Junior Varsity TennisWe traveled to Thornapple Kellog where they held a four-team quad. The teams that participated besides the host were Grand Rapids Christian, Grandville, and North Pointe Christian. The format was 1-6 doubles flights playing the best two of three fast 4 sets. That's the first to 4 games win by two, unless it's 4-4, then the next game wins that set. If they split sets the third set was determined by a 10 point super tie breaker. The Eagles did not disappoint and represented us in spectacular fashion. Everyone was extremely focused, and was on a mission to win from start to finish. We all played with enthusiasm and great sportsmanship on our way to winning all but one match in straight sets. Overall, we won 17 matches with 1 loss. We lost a match where teammates had to play each other, in 3rd set 10-point super tie breaker to determine the winner. This was a true team effort because most of us had to share playing time. In the past we've always come up 2nd in this quad
