Let's celebrate our bowling seniors! This is what Coach VanderPloeg had to say about them.
🦅🎳Megan Szotko
Megan is a 4-year bowler and was voted unanimously as co-captain in her senior year. Megan has been on the varsity team all four years. Megan has been a great leader helping guide the new bowlers through the process of trying out, practices, and competitions. Megan has brought such a fun energy to the team. The coaches have greatly valued her contributions to the team and all of the team will miss her smiling face. Megan has a high average of 140, a high scratch game or 190, and a high series of 228. Thanks to Megan for 4 great seasons.
🦅🎳Abbe Diemer
Abbe only joined the bowling team in her junior year. Having never been a regular bowler, She made a quick impact on the team by qualifying for Varsity in her first year. Abbe was unanimously voted co-captain this year. Abbe has been such a joy to have on the team. She is a great leader, helping guide the new bowlers and is an excellent voice of the team. Abbe always brings a fun energy and continuously strives to improve her game. Abbe has a high average of 173, a high scratch game of 221, and a high scratch series of 397. Her coaches will miss all of Abbe's contributions and the team will miss her infectious energy. Thanks to Abbe for the great 2 years, we are glad you found your way to the bowling team.
🦅🎳Lily Wang
Lily is also a part of the GRCS international student program. Lily is new to the team this year, and her coaches have enjoyed watching her learn the game of bowling. Lily brought such fun energy to the team. It was a pleasure to have her on the team.
🦅🎳Jaehee Yoon
Jaehee is a part of the GRCS international student program. Jaehee has spent a couple years with the team and was able to compete at Varsity level in his senior year. The coaches have enjoyed watching him learn the game of bowling. Jaehee brought such fun energy to the team. It was a pleasure to have him part of the team.
