Celebrating our six girls soccer seniors:

Natalie Gray

Parents: Todd and Jennifer Gray

Natalie’s favorite soccer memory is the team sleepover and the great friendships she has made. Next year, she plans to attend Hope College to study Biology on a pre-PA track. Natalie’s advice for underclassmen is that God has a plan for you even when you can’t see it.

Her favorite Bible verse is

Romans 8:28 - “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Annelise Kuiper

Parents: John and Katie Kuiper

Annelise’s favorite soccer memory is gaining new friendships every year with each new team and of course the team sleepovers.  Next year, Annelise plans to study Nursing at Calvin University. Annelise’s advice for future players is to strengthen your mentality, it needs to be as strong as you are physically.

Her favorite Bible verse is

Psalm 46:5 - "God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day."

Ally Schrotenboer

Parents: Scott and Becky Schrotenboer

Ally’s favorite soccer memories are all of the team bonding on and off the field.  Next year, Ally plans to attend Butler University to study Marketing and Spanish.   Ally would like to  thank her parents for all the support and her coaches for being so encouraging and making her senior year the best, and her teammates for making soccer so much fun!

Her favorite Bible verse is:
Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Audrey VanderHeide

Parents: Rachael and Derek Vander Heide

Audrey’s favorite soccer memory is her junior season and getting to play with her sister again for the first time since they were young.  Next year, Audrey plans to attend Hope College to study psychology.   Aubrey would like to thank her parents for supporting her through everything, her coaches for pushing her to improve and grow in her relationship with Christ through the game of soccer, and to her teammates who have made her senior season so fun. My advice to each player is to continue to play competitively and passionately, and always remember to play for God’s glory.

Her favorite verse is Psalm 62:5-6

“Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation, He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.”

Linnea White

Parents, Melissa and Shawn White

Linnea’s favorite soccer memory is getting to watch her little sister score in the first game of the season.  Next year, Linnea will be attending North Park University for sociology where she will also continue her soccer career.  Linnea’s advice for underclassmen is that the only person on or off the field that you can control is yourself, so don’t allow what other people are doing, and have done, to interfere with your success and your ability. Linnea White.

Her favorite Bible verse is Colossians 1:18-19 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

Ella Wolters

Parents, Sarah and David Wolters

Ella’s favorite soccer memory is taking a coach bus to Holland Christian and her first varsity goal off a corner kick.  Next year, Ella plans to attend Spring Arbor University where she will  major in biology and continue her soccer career.  Ella’s advice to her teammates is to work hard and enjoy the small moments.

Her favorite verse is

Hebrews 11:1 -  “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

We thank our seniors for their excellent contributions to the Grand Rapids Christian soccer program, and we wish them God’s blessings as they continue their journeys!  We love you, seniors. Thank you. Go Eagles!
