It is always bittersweet to say goodbye to our senior athletes. This season is unique in that with a co-op program we have many players that are new, new to our program and new to lacrosse. We also have numerous seniors who I have had the pleasure of watching come up through our youth program to become senior leaders both in playing ability but also as Captains and team leaders. We have had a tough season and many of those seniors suffered injuries, some season ending, and it was heartbreaking to see them work to get to this point and then have it end abruptly. However, it is a testament to these young men how they have risen above the personal disappointments and stayed connected to the team, helping bond kids from 4 different high schools into one unit that gets out there everyday and keeps battling.
