Madison Peal – shared by Grace Goodyke

Parents: Gigi MCauley (with her husband Matt) and Matt Peal (with his wife Ericka).

Madi is committed to Hillsdale College.

Ever since the summer going into my freshman year Madi has been one of the biggest role models in my life and I am constantly looking up to her. She has become like an older sister to me and I will never be able to thank her for the ways she has been there for me.

Madi is one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet and can make anyone laugh in any situation. In both of the years I have gotten to play with Madi, she has been our team captain. She leads our team with passion, kindness, and enthusiasm every single day on and off the court, pushing every player to be their best.

Madi, thank you for the endless car rides filled with laughter and gas station stops for Dr. Pepper with vanilla after practice. You have shown me what Eagle Volleyball is all about and you have left such a positive impact and legacy on our program.

Thank you for everything these last two years and I am so excited to see what amazing things you will accomplish. Please don’t forget to come back and visit. I love you always and I am so proud of you.

Keira Porte — shared by Piper Cebulski

Parents: Jason and Connie Porte

Keira is a 3-year varsity volleyball player; she also plays softball and participates in unified basketball.

I was first introduced to Keira when she was a sophomore playing on the same team as my older sister. I never would have imagined that someday I would be the sophomore playing with her or that I would look up to her as much as I do.

Keira is the kindest, most authentic, and not to mention funniest person on earth. She has a special ability to somehow make every person around her feel welcome and valued. No matter what Keira is doing in practice or games, she does it with 100% effort.

Keira, you will be missed tremendously next year, but although you will physically leave this team, a small part of your attitude and personality will live on in every single one of us. I love you more than anything, and I know that God has amazing things in store for the rest of your life. Also, Scrubs for Life!

Alayna McGowan — shared by Mallory Bremer

Parents: Matt and Susan McGowan. Alayna has been with me throughout ALL of high school volleyball. She and I have gone through all the steps together. We played JV, got pulled up for districts, and are in our second year of varsity together.

Alayna has been my 1 only pepper partner throughout these last 3 years and I never could’ve chosen a better one. Alayna is one of the most encouraging teammates I have ever played with and is the loudest one in the gym.  Even when she is tired she is always talking and handing out compliments. I’m not sure what we will do next year without you saying the score in speedball, counting how many times we go through a drill, and calling mine.

I am so proud of everything you do and can’t wait to see what you accomplish. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” You are out of this world smart Alayna and I am eager to see how God uses you in this world! I love you so much, and I don't know what I would do without you next year.

Lucy VanDrunen — shared by Taylor Frost

Parents: Nate and Keri VanDrunen

Lucy is a 3-year volleyball varsity athlete and she also plays tennis.

Lucy, you are an incredible part of our team through your energy and dedication. You lead our team by example and encourage us all to be better. You have made such an impact on me and in my life and you are such a blessing. You have shown us how to hard work and be a positive teammate.

You spread light to everyone around you. On and off the court, you never fail to make us laugh. You will be missed more than words can say. Your impact and influence on the team will always stay with us. Thank you for everything you’ve done for this team. I am going to miss all of our laughs and having you on the team. I love you so much!
