For the first time ever, Grand Rapids Christian has students playing on the East Grand Rapids co-op water polo team. We get to celebrate our one senior on the team:

Vivian King

Vivian’s favorite thing about water polo is the team aspect. She likes working with others and growing in their skills together. Bring on a co-op team has given her the opportunity to meet so many new people from different schools. Although she was scared to join water polo without knowing many people on the team, in the end everyone was sweet and welcoming.

Next year Vivian plans to attend Calvin University with a major in nursing. She’s not sure if she will join a sport in her freshman year, but eventually wants to join a club sport like downhill skiing or esports.

Vivian’s favorite memories of water polo are carpooling with a couple of girls on the team and getting flurries from Wendy’s with the whole team after a game.

Vivian’s favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:12, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
