We honored the seniors who have been part of the Unified program. 

We first recognized two of the partners of our athletes, Jake Koetje and Kierra Porte. Jake and Kierra, thank you for your part in supporting our athletes and helping them learn the game of basketball and having fun playing.

Max Damstra

Parents: BJ and Kelli Damstra

Max has enjoyed being involved in a variety of extracurricular activities in high school, especially Unified basketball. He will be attending Ferris State University in the fall, pursuing his degree in HVAC and he looks forward to a future career in that field and working with appliances. Philippians 4:13 is his favorite verse: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  Max would like to say thank you to all the fans for cheering on the Unified team, and to his GRC Community, family & friends for supporting him and encouraging him throughout the years. 

Isaac Muller

Parents: Tim & Charlette Muller. 

Isaac has enjoyed putting up a massive number of three-point attempts on the Unified Basketball Team over the past four years, deservedly earning his nickname of “Machine Gun Muller”.  And even more importantly, Issac has loved every minute of being a part of the Inclusion program at Grand Rapids Christian for the past 12 years.  A huge thank you to Mrs Primus, Mrs Meekhoof, Mrs Bosch, Mrs Decker, Mrs Williams, Mrs Pecor, Mrs Holtz, Mrs Israels, Mr Brad, Mr Steve, and Mr Steve.  You will be greatly missed by Isaac.  Isaac looks forward to being a member of a Young Adult Services program next year and continuing his shot-making capabilities with Special Olympics Michigan.   

Max and Isaac, thank you for your hard work on the basketball floor and for the fun the fans have had watching you in your careers here. We wish you God’s richest blessings as you move on to new and exciting things in your lives. And thank you, parents, for your support of your players and the Unified basketball program.
