We are grateful for the commitment to Grand Rapids Christian athletics from our players and their families. We would like to honor these players an families for their time here at GRC. 

 

#2 Logan Eaton

Parents: Rich and Amy Eaton

School: Grand Rapids Christian

Logan has been playing lacrosse since 3rd grade. His favorite lacrosse memory is playing on the team with his brother his sophomore year season. After graduation, Logan plans ot attend Ohio Wesleyan University to play lacrosse and study business and finance.

Favorite Bible verse: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9)

 

#3 Aaron Gholston

Parents: Myesha and Willie Gholston II

School: Grand Rapids Christian

Aaron has been playing lacrosse for 56 days. His favorite lacrosse memory is scoring his first goal in the 5th game of the season. After graduation Aaron will be attending Grand Valley to study sports

management and to run track.

Favorite Bible verse: For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

 

#5 Max Dekker

Parents: Jeff and Sara Dekker

School: Grand Rapids Christian

Max started playing lacrosse in 8th grade.  His favorite lacrosse memory is the bus ride back from Traverse City.  After graduation, Max plans to attend Hope College to study finance and business.

Favorite Bible verse: For I consider that sufferings of this present time

are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)

 

#7 Carson Stransky

Parents: Trew and Caryn Stransky

School: Grand Rapids Christian. 

Carson has been playing lacrosse for six years.  His favorite lacrosse memory is going to the Michigan vs Notre Dame lacrosse game. After graduation Carson will be attending Michigan Tech to study engineering.

Favorite Bible verse: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only

Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

 

#10 Fletcher Moore

Parents: Paul and Kristen Moore

School: Grand Rapids Christian

Fletcher has been playing lacrosse since 6th grade.  His favorite lacrosse memory is traveling to Traverse City his junior year and eating Jimmy

Johns. After graduation Fletcher will attend Western Michigan to study business.

Favorite Bible verse: Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those

who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. (Isaiah 10:1-2)

 

#16 Spencer Slagboom

Parents: Lindsay and Scott Slagboom

School: Grand Rapids Christian

Spencer has been playing lacrosse for 10 years.  His favorite lacrosse memory is the bus ride home from Traverse City junior year.

After graduation Spencer will be attending Hope College.

Favorite Bible verse: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4: 6-7)

 

#19 Brayden Melinn

Parents: Kurt and Megan Melinn

School: Grand Rapids Christian

This is Brayden’s first year playing lacrosse. His favorite lacrosse memory is making a post to post leg save against Byron Center.  After graduation Brayden will be attending UofM Flint to play D1 ACHA hockey and study statistics and finance.

Favorite Bible verse: As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

 

#20 Abel den Dulk

Parents: Peri and Kevin den Dulk

School: Grand Rapids Christian

This is Abel’s first year playing lacrosse.  His favorite lacrosse memory is the first practice with the team. He was completely lost, but had fun learning a new sport and meeting new people. After graduation Abel will attend Calvin to study civil engineering.

Favorite Bible verse: He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

 

#22 Leland Lautenbach

Parents: Amy and Chris Lautenbach

School: Grand Rapids Christian

Leland started playing lacrosse in 6th grade. His favorite lacrosse memories are the bus trips up to Traverse City.

After graduation Leland will attend GRCC for a few years, then transfer to

another university in Michigan. He plans to study finance.

Favorite Bible verse: I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)

 

#24 Elijah Vander Kodde

Parents: Joel and Maria Vander Kodde

School: Grandville Calvin Christian

Elijah started playing lacrosse in 7th grade. His favorite lacrosse memory is  getting his “make-a-wish goal” on the Traverse City trip.  After graduation Elijah will attend Michigan Tech to study engineering.

Favorite Bible verse: For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your

right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 41:13)

 

Grand Rapids Christian is grateful for the contributions of these seniors and their families within our school and within Eagle athletics. We wish everyone a great finish to the season and blessings on next year as these athletes move on to the next phase of their lives. Go Eagles!
