Grand Rapids Christian Girls Soccer hosted Lowell Wednesday night. The hosts were able to honor their seniors before the game.

The game kicked off with a good spell from the visiting team seeing the Eagles repel the majority of attacks on goal. The Eagles had the better of the opportunities seeing a goal flash inches wide by freshman Stella Sheldon, and a few volleys inside the box that were safely handled by the Red Arrows keeper.

The second half was a total change. The Eagles started winning all of the 50/50 balls on the ground and out of the air, pinning the visiting team into their own half. The only chance the away team produced was a breakaway that saw Senior Goalkeeper Olivia May save a sure goal at full stretch. A late save near post from the visitors by a shot by Emma VanGoor was the last chance of the game seeing the game end at 0-0.

The Eagles are back in action next week with games against Forest Hills Central and Byron Center.
