The atmosphere was great at the Quest Center home of the Eagles. This was two great teams competing with lots of basketball tradition. The Eagles played from behind in the 1st quarter 17 - 15. The Eagles fought hard but still found themselves trailing at the half 27 - 26. The half time adjustments would pay big dividends as the Eagles would score 32 points and holding the Sailors to only 21 points in the second half. Defense has been the staple this season as the Eagles have found different ways to win games this season. The Eagles had balance scoring which made them tough to beat tonight.
The Eagles were led by junior Kobe Bufkin with 14 points. Junior Jared Lary came up big with some timely 3 point shots. Senior Evan May chipped in with 10 points and junior Donovan Brown-Boyd added 8 points. The Eagles will be back on the hardwood Saturday at the Union Redhawk Showcase against the Farmington Falcons. The Eagles move to 12-0 for the season and 6-0 in the OK-Gold conference.
