The Eagles grind out a tough win on the road versus the Hudsonville Eagles.  The Hudsonville Eagles got off to a hot start shooting the basketball in the 1st quarter.  The Eagles came out a little sluggish allowing Hudsonville to take a 18-13 lead in the 1st quarter.  The Eagles could never find a rhythm in the first half but continued to grind trailing 26-31 at the half.  The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles regrouped at halftime and made some adjustments to slow down the Hudsonville Eagles.

The Eagles came out with a more defensive mindset to make a run in the 3rd quarter but continued to trial at the end of the 3rd quarter 37-41.  The Eagles continued to grind in the 4th quarter defensively but were also able to get a spark offensively from the bench.  The Eagles had several players step up for a great team win in a close fought battle.  The Eagles were able to make some plays down the stretch to get the win 51-48.

Sophomore Jaylan Ouwinga led the Eagles with 12 points.  The Eagles had three players in double figures with 10 points Delon McCloud, Nate Johnson and Dono Thames.  Malachi Hooser also was a spark for the Eagles finishing with 7 points.  The Eagles will take the floor again versus Holland Christian Thursday.
