What a great atmosphere tonight at Cornerstone University. The Eagles played one of the top teams in the state Orchard Lake St. Mary's. The Eagles played a good 1st quarter but still trailed from behind 14-17. The Eagles's offense struggled to score in the 2nd quarter trailing 22-36 to go into the half. In the second half, the Eagles could not find any rhythm offensively and struggled to slow the Eaglets down. The 3rd quarter ended 34-52 in favor of the Eaglets. The Eagles outscored the Eaglets in the 4th quarter but still came up short losing 63-48. This was a great test to prepare the Eagles for a big conference game versus the Northview Wildcats on Tuesday.
Sophomore Jaylan Ouwinga led the Eagles with 14 points. Seniors Delon Mc Cloud and Nick Cassidy combined for 14 points. The Eagles are now 10-3.
