The Eagles come up short against the Unity Christian Crusaders.  The Eagles had a solid 1st quarter trailing by  a point 14 - 13. The game would go back in forth in the 2nd quarter with the Eagles trailing by two points 31 - 29.  The first half would end that way with the Crusaders up by two.  

To start the 3rd quarter, the Crusaders would make a run which forced the Eagles to use a timeout to regroup.   The Eagles would make their own run with a couple of  three pointers but would trail 45 - 41 going into the 4th quarter. The Eagles would tie the game up at 56 - 56 with about thirty five seconds remaining.  The Crusaders would hold the ball for the last shot and with seconds remaining find an open cutter to the basket for a game winning layup.  That's how the Eagles season would end 58 - 56.  It was a great game and a great season for the Eagles.   

Senior Dono Thames finished with 15 points while Junior Malachi Hooser also finished with 15 points.  Nate Johnson chipped in with 11 points.  Jaylan Ouwinga finished with 9 points.  The Eagles finished the season as district champs with a 20-6 record. What a great season for the Eagles.  The Eagles will return a lot of talent next season, so the future should be bright.
