Grand Rapids Christian Eagles get a needed conference win over the Pioneers. In the1st quarter, the Eagles jump out to a 25 - 15 lead. The Eagles found a good rhythm early offensively but struggled defending the Pioneers behind the arc. The Eagles would lose the 2nd quarter to the Pioneers but take a 37 - 30 point lead at the half.
The Eagles would continue to compete in the 3rd quarter early by playing good team basketball, this would allow them to take a 3rd quarter lead 52 - 46. The Eagles would get multiple contributions from the bench tonight. The Eagles defense would control the 4th quarter. This would lead to another great team win tonight beating the Pioneers 67 - 55.
The Eagles were led by seniors Malachi Hooser's and Nate Johnson both finishing with16 points apiece. Jaylan Ouwinga and Carter Goodkye both would finish with 9 points apiece. Eagles are back on the hardwood Wednesday at Northview at 7:00 p.m. Eagles move to 16 - 2 on the season.
