Tonight the Eagles were on the road for a regional championship taking on the Benton Harbor Tigers. The atmosphere was electric with two of the top teams in the state and someone would have to lose. The Eagles would lose the 1st quarter to the Tigers 16 - 14. The Eagles would settle in the 2nd quarter defensively holding the Tigers 7 points while scoring 12 points.  The Eagles would win that quarter and taking a 26 - 23 lead at the half. 

The Eagles would have a solid 3rd quarter. Both teams would finish the 3rd quarter scoring 15 points apiece but Eagles would win the quarter 41- 38.  Nate Johnson and Tyler Davis would have a big 4th quarter. The Eagles defense would take control in the 4th quarter holding the high scoring Tigers to 13 points. The Eagles would finish the quarter with 20 points and knocking down some big free throws to secure the win. The Eagles would put together a great 4th quarter to win a regional championship 61 - 51 over the Tigers. 

Jaylan Ouwinga would lead the Eagles tonight with 15 points. Nate Johnson would chip in with 14 points. Tyler Davis would finish with 12 points. Malachi Hooser chipped in with 10 points. Eagles are regional Champs and move to 24-2 on the season. The Eagles will take on the Catholic Central Cougars on Tuesday.
