The Eagles traveled to the Cornerstone University Holiday Tournament to face off against the Zeeland East Chix, an event featuring some of the top teams in West Michigan.

The Eagles got off to a strong start, with all starters contributing offensively in the first quarter. Their team play earned them a 16–12 lead heading into the 2nd quarter. However, the Eagles struggled to maintain their rhythm on offense in the second period. The Chix capitalized on defensive lapses, outscoring the Eagles 14–8 and taking a 26–24 lead into halftime.

At the break, the Eagles made key defensive adjustments, switching up their defense to create turnovers early in the 3rd quarter. These turnovers fueled a 21-point quarter for the Eagles, helping them reclaim the lead at 45–43 heading into the 4th quarter.

In the final quarter, the Eagles’ defense stepped up in a big way, shutting down the Chix’s offense during critical moments. Finishing strong, the Eagles secured a 58–53 victory, improving to 4–2 on the season.
