The Eagles traveled to the 2K25 Showcase at Aquinas College to take on one of the state's top teams the Cass Tech Technicians. It was a playoff type of environment which is always good to prepare for postseason.

The Technicians would play a solid 1st quarter taking a 16-12 lead in going into the 2nd quarter. The Eagles would close the gap in that quarter with some solid play on both sides of the ball taking a 27-27 tie in at half. The Eagles would show a lot of grit an resiliency after coming off a tough loss Friday night. The 3rd quarter would be close with the Technicians leading the Eagles 40-36. 

The game would get interesting in the 4th quarter, the Eagles would make some defensive adjustments which shake up the Technicians offense. The Eagles had a five point lead with about a minute remaining. The Technicians hit a three point shot to cut the lead to two points. At the end, the Eagles had a foul to give coming out of their final time out. So, they proceed to foul before the shot but the refs initial said it was floor before the shot but the call was overturned. A Technician player would go to the free throw line and make 2 out of 3 and send the game to overtime. The Eagles would suffer a very controversial loss to the Technicians 77-62 in overtime.

The Eagles were led by senior Tyler Davis 22 points. Carl Thompson finished with 20 points while Braylon Taylor chipped in with 11 points.
