The Eagles Cross Country team competed against 9 other Christian schools at the annual Christian School Invitational. For decades, this invitational has provided an opportunity for believers to gather and use their God-given talents to bring Him glory! What a blessing! The varsity boys took over the race early and never looked back taking 4 of the first 5 spots! Simon Triezenberg led the way finishing 1st in 16:03. He was closely followed by Keegan Hoekstra in 2nd (with a PR of 16:06), Sean Ryan in 3rd (16:07), and Micah Small in 5th (16:38). Ashton Fink, James Scholten-Holcomb, and Calvin Brinks rounded out the varsity and all finished in the top 30.

The JV boys continued the Eagle dominance by putting 6 runners in the top 9! Elias DeJong took the victory in 17:39. He was followed closely by Zach Hartemink in 2nd (17:42), Jacob Voetberg in 4th (18:02), Isaiah Lindstrom in 5th (18:05), Sam DeYoung in 7th (with a PR of 18:27), and Jonathan Falk in 9th (with a PR of 18:43). Micah Manion, Issac Witte, Luke Witte, Dylan VanderPloeg, Andrew Cho, John DeYoung and Joseph Sung all ran a lifetime personal record (PR).

Eagles Cross Country will compete again on Friday, September 13 at the Ottawa Hills Invitational at Riverside Park.
