Boys Varsity Cross Country Takes 1st at the Ottawa Hills Invite

In a race that was moved to earlier in the day due to heat, the boys cross country team continued to show their strength by beating the #1 ranked DIII team Traverse City St. Francis and the #2 DII ranked Holland Christian. Senior Simon Triezenberg led the way with his 3rd place finish. He was followed by Keegan Hoekstra, Micah Small, and Sean Ryan - all in the top 20.
The JV team was led by Sam De Young and Jonathan Falk. PRs (Personal Records) were hard to come by due to the heat and humidity but Micah Small, James Scholten-Holcomb, Jacob Voetberg, Andrew Cho, Joseph Sung, and Anson Lange all managed to run the best time of their careers.
The Eagles kick off their conference season with the OK White Jamboree #1 on Wednesday at Riverside.
