Boys Varsity Cross Country Wins OK White Jamboree #1

The boys cross country team kicked off their OK White Conference season on Wednesday. Despite moving the race time to the evening, warm conditions still prevailed. However, the Eagles were able to pull together, persevere, and win by defeating a strong D1 Forest Hills Central team as well as two D2-ranked teams - East Grand Rapids and Forest Hills Eastern. The Eagles were led by Simon Triezenberg (6th), Sean Ryan (8th), Keegan Hoekstra (10th), Micah Small (15th), Ashton Fink (16th), James Scholten-Holcomb (19th), and Zach Hartemink (35th). Joseph Sung was the lone Eagle boy to run a personal best.
Eagles XC is back in action at home (Gainey) on Saturday morning as they race our newly designed 5k course.
