Boys Varsity Cross Country Takes 2nd & 9th at the Bulldog Invite

The Eagles brought two varsity teams to the Otsego Bulldog Invitational this past Saturday. Inspired by Fantasy Football, a draft was conducted to divide the runners into two teams of seven. (There were differing opinions on the draft results!) The Blue team almost won the meet of 22 teams but came in just two points behind a great Holland Christian Team. Simon Triezenberg led the way by finishing 3rd and lowering his 5k XC SCHOOL RECORD to 15:30. He was followed by Sean Ryan (16:13), Keegan Hoekstra (16:19), James Scholten-Holcomb (16:54), and Elias DeJong (17:17). The White team finished 9th overall and was led by Micah Small (16:42), Ashton Fink (16:55), Zach Hartemink (17:21), Jacob Voetberg (17:30), and Sam DeYoung (18:32).
In the JV race, Issac Witte led the Eagles in 19:23. He was followed by Luke Witte (20:06), Dylan VanderPloeg (20:07), Andrew Cho (20:24), and Reece Hoyt (20:32).
10 Eagles ran their Personal Best (PR). Simon, James, Elias, Zach, Jonathan Falk (18:36), Isaac, Dylan, Andrew, Titus Plattner (20:35), and John DeYoung (20:59).
The Eagles look to maintain their OK White lead this Wednesday as they host the OK White Jamboree #2.
