Boys Varsity Cross Country Race at the Kent Ottawa Invite

On a beautiful fall morning, the Eagles hosted the Kent Ottawa Invitational. In a new twist this year, runners had a choice to run the short course (3200m) or the long course (5000m). In the short course, senior Keegan Hoekstra led the way with a 3rd-place finish. He was followed by Micah Small, James Scholten-Holcomb, Sean Ryan, and Ashton Fink. Sophomore Elias DeJong led the team in the long course. He was followed by Jonathan Falk, Parker VanHill, Micah Manion, and Isaac Witte. All of the short course runners PR'd as the 3200m isn't a typical high school distance! Dylan VanderPloeg, Titus Plattner, and John DeYoung all PR'd in the 5000m long course.
The Eagles will compete for the OK White Conference Championship on Wednesday at Riverside Park.
