Boys Varsity Golf Wins Two Tournaments on the same day

One of the varsity teams went to Ann Arbor Skyline's touranment called "The Derby at the Polo Fields" on Friday while another team went to the John Matthew Krutsch Memorial tournament at The Medalist. 

Remarkably, both teams won their events! At The Derby, the Eagles overcame a bad start being down 10 shots after two holes, to eventually win the event by 10 shots with a 294. The second place team was Ann Arbor Skyline with a 304 at their home course. Leading the Eagles was sophomore John Cassiday and junior Dylan Clark who both shot 73 and tied for first place in the event. Following them was junior Adam Workman and freshman Cooper Reitsma who both shot 74. The Eagles placed all 5 players in the top 10 of a very good field. 

At the Medalist, the Eagles shot 304 narrowly defeating Vicksburg who shot 308. Leading the Eagles was junior Ford Erickson who shot a career best 73 and tied for first place overall in the event. Also scoring for the Eagles was junior Nate VanOtteren, and freshman Sawyer O'Grady who both shot 75, and junior Nicholas Sherman who shot 81. 

This week the B team played 2 events, winning both. The A team played 3 events, winning all of them. In each event, the Eagles had the lowest scoring golfer - Cooper Reitsma shot a possible school record 67 on Monday and was the low scorer on Wednesday with a 35 as well, Adam Workman shot 34 on Thursday, and Ford, John, and Dylan all had the lowest score in their tournament on Friday. What a week for Eagle Golf!

This week the Eagles will put two varsity teams in teh Mona Shores Invitational at Muskegon CC on Monday and play their final regular season Jamboree at Boulder Creek on Thursday.
