The Eagles faced stiff competition all day at Regionals, battling strong performances from South Christian, Unity Christian, Wayland, Otsego, and Zeeland West for one of the top three spots needed to advance to the State Finals. After trailing for most of the round, the Eagles surged on the final five holes to take the lead and ultimately secure the Regional Championship with an impressive team score of 301.

South Christian (304) and Unity Christian (310) also earned their spots at the State Finals.

Leading the charge was John Cassiday, who fired a remarkable 4-under-par 68 to claim his third straight individual Regional title—a truly incredible achievement! Rounding out the team score was Sawyer O’Grady (74, 5th overall), Cooper Reitsma (77), and Ty Erickson (82).

The Eagles now advance to the State Finals on June 6–7 at Bedford Valley Golf Club. Getting to compete through the final weekend of the season is a blessing we continue to cherish. It’s an honor to represent GRC on this stage, and we look forward to the challenge ahead!
