The varsity girls golf team finished out the 2024 season in style this past weekend as junior Lily O'Grady and senior Kiera Bishop represented our school at the Division III state tournament in Bedford Valley.  Over two beautiful days, Kiera wrapped up her four years of golf at GRCHS by placing 87th overall out of all the Div. III golfers in the entire state!  That is an amazing accomplishment on top of a season that included a hole-in-one and several personal bests in tournament play.  Congratulations on a fantastic season, Kiera!

Lily O'Grady capped off her junior year of varsity golf by improving on her finishes at state over the last two years.  As a freshman Lily placed 4th at state, as a sophomore she was tied for 2nd and as a junior this season, Lily became the Division III individual state champion!!  In the two day competition, Lily was tied for first after the first day when she fired a solid 75, which is 3 over par.  The first day featured some great and consistent play, but Lily had room to step it up on Day 2, and she did.  Day 2 featured as solid a round of golf as is humanly possible.  Lily hit 18 out of 18 greens in regulation, which is an amazing feat of consistent greatness.  She finished her round with a birdie-birdie finish to win the state championship by 9 strokes over the next competitor!  What a fantastic season and state tournament to cap if off!  Congratulations, Lily!!!
