With a quick turnaround, the Eagles traveled to Jenison to take on the Wildcats (OK Black) for a non-conference match. Again, the Eagles fell behind early after a Jenison shot found its way just inside the far post on a shot from the top of the penalty area. The Eagles responded with composure combining well with each other to move the ball and create scoring chances throughout the first half, but like Friday, they entered half-time down 0-1. This time, the Eagles got on the scoreboard earlier – first with a goal from freshman Ben Hart on a through ball from Nick Cassiday in the 49^th minute. Six minutes later, senior Adrian Boyden broke through the defense on a pass from Cassiday to place the ball neatly inside the far post, putting the Eagles up 2-1. After assisting on the Eagles first two goals, Cassiday extended the Eagles lead in the 70^th minute with an unassisted goal. The Eagles continued to find opportunities as the rain came down in the final 10 minutes of play, but let the Wildcats through to put a shot on goal forcing a double-save from Anton Dershem before the clock ran out. Eagles 3 – Wildcats 1.
