The Varsity Eagles welcomed the Huskies from Forest Hills Northern on a hot night at Eagle Stadium.  The first half was an up-and-down affair as both teams created some quality chances; however, neither team was able to break the deadlock going into the half.  The Eagles refocused at the half and came out with a renewed desire to find space in the attacking half.   Senior Peter Borst would create the go-ahead goal with a brilliant run down the left flank and an inch-perfect ball to the far post that only required a tap in from fellow senior John Cassiday.   The hosts would be dangerous on the counter in the second half, nearly scoring on a few other chances.   Momentum would swing, however, when the Huskies were awarded a penalty kick, which they calmly finished to even the score at 1-1.  In spite of quality chances for each side and a frantic final few minutes, the match would end 1-1.   The Eagles return to the pitch on Wednesday as they visit the Rangers of Forest Hills Central with a 6:45pm kick off.
