The Varsity Eagles travelled to Forest Hills Northern in a matchup of teams at the top of the OK White conference standings. The match started brightly for the visitors as the Eagles nearly scored in the first minute of play. The Eagles would continue to pressure the home side and create a handful of high quality scoring opportunities. Despite controlling much of the first half and being dangerous in attack, the Eagles could not find the goal that would give them the lead going into the half.
In the second half, the Huskies would find their footing and were able to create some chances, especially via set pieces. About midway through the second half, that pressure resulted in a goal headed home from a corner kick. The Eagles were not able to find the equalizer and found themselves once again ruing missed chances as the home side claimed the 1-0 win.
The Eagles are back in action on Monday, September 23, when they host the Rangers from Forest Hills Central at Eagle Stadium at 7:30pm.
