The Varsity Eagles traveled to Union for a non-league matchup on Thursday night.  It didn't take long for the visitors to get on the scoresheet when senior John Cassiday was able to beat his defender near the endline and slot a perfect ball across the face of goal to Emmett Vance, who calmly finished to give the Eagles the early lead.  Despite some other quality chances, the Eagles would only have the one goal to show for their efforts at the half.

The second half featured a bit more incisiveness as the Eagles were able to pull away.   David Pontarelli played a perfect diagonal ball to Cassiday, who was able to get in behind the defense and beat the keeper.  Pontarelli also teed up defender Max Michael  after a goalmouth scrum and MIchael made no mistake as he finished into the roof of the net.   Peter Borst would end the game in style after receiving a nice through ball from freshman Noah Peterson to finish the scoring and give the Eagles a 4-0 win on the road.  Senior Will Bufalini earned the cleansheet in goal with help from his defensive unit of Soren White, Tyler Wolters, Isaac Williams, Max Michael, Will VandenBerg, Will Bush, and Graham Dejonge.  

The Eagles return to action for their last regular season contest on Monday night when they host Catholic Central at 7:30.
